Never loosen collars so much, they can catch on something and the pet may choke

We were told leave it loose enough so it can escape if it gets caught...

You'd be surprised how tight a collar can get and still be escapable.

If you can fit two fingers, then it is loose enough. Maybe one? Or just get the escape collars.

Why have a collar at all if it’s an indoor cat? Is it for the bells? To hear the kitty?

My kitties the same way. When the eyes go all black, she attacks

Cats should just have the break away collars imo. They are for id tags or bells; not for walking as in the case of dogs.

If it is for identification and not a leash, always use a breakaway collar. Much safer.

On a cat; it doesn’t matter if it’s loose or tight, they’re equally likely to catch on things. ...Cats should ALWAYS wear breakaway collars.

I have a customer who’s kitten’s always getting underfoot & tripping her, she bought a bell & collar so that she could hear the little sneak

Reminds me recently I moved into a new house, let my cat outside and he didn't return for almost 2 days. I thought, "Huh, that's weird," 1/?

"He usually comes back soon." So I was doing some stuff in the backyard when I hear a faint meow. I follow the meowing: my cat got his 2/3
